Today, the problem of drugs is a threat to the security of many countries around the world. This research aims to assess the effect of a new prevention model for drug abuse among young people of Nakhon Pathom Province reflecting the problem in this area to provide solutions to problems that are concrete and appropriate to the context of the area. This study applied qualitative research through group discussions and in-depth interviews data were analyzed by means of thematic analysis under the CIPP Model (Daniel L. Stufflebeam) evaluation concept. The sample included young people at risk of substance abuse, their parents, teachers, school administrators, health personnel and community leaders.

The results of the study revealed the evaluation of the new drug abuse prevention model in youth. Through cooperation of relevant sectors Nakhon Pathom province found that 1) Context evaluation in Nakhon Pathom Province has a clear policy as well as high level of focus to solve the drug problems. 2) Initial factors / Input evaluation found that there is a drug prevention and suppression operation center in Mueang Nakhon Pathom district through the support of relevant departments 3) Process evaluation found that there were lecturers to provide knowledge under the school project for white, safe, drug and deception on a regular basis. In this area there is a behavior modification camp in cooperation of the community leaders which reduces risk factors that is a key cycle of the drug problems. 4) Product evaluation found both seizure surveillance through the network and the implementation of the white-safe, drug-safe, and immoral education projects in the area. Members of the government agencies and the public sectors are working together to address the problem of the substance abuse in this population.
