This research project aimed to study economic and social conditions and resource management in upland rice production of the framers in the area of Ban Pa La-U village,

Huai Sat Yai Sub-district, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The current study also aimed to study factors influencing an adoption of agricultural resources management techniques in rice framing of the agricultural people in the mentioned area. Interviews were conducted to collect data from participants – researchers working under the project relating to promoting agricultural resource management techniques for field rice production. Subdistrict administration organisation officials and heads of farmer's household were also involved in the interviews. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed to analyse the conditions of economics, society and resource management in upland rice production.
A Chi-squared Test was employed to analyse the factors affecting the adoption of agricultural resource management techniques of upland rice production. The findings indicated that the factors affecting the adoption of agricultural resource management techniques of upland rice production included social status, main occupation, information access, and distance from farmers’ house to the community learning centre. Moreover, to promote the adoption of agricultural resource management techniques of upland rice production and build up people’s motivation for a growing future adoption, the advantages of these techniques should be promoted to the public so that the agricultural people feel more aware of the techniques’values, significances and benefits to be more adopted in a wider network.
